Ron Day

Although Catriona Gorton was the chair-elect for this year. Her calling to Scotland has meant that she was no longer available to carry out the duties of the chair. As a result Ron Day was elected to take her place and was welcomed to the position at the AGM at the Baptist assembly.

Ron, once a teacher of Chemistry and IT, trained at Spurgeon’s college (1990-1994) and has been in ministry since then at Stradbroke Baptist Church, Suffolk (until 2000) and at Histon Baptist Church in Cambridgeshire (since 2000). He has been a member of the committee for a number of years and was the secretary for part of that time.

He is married to Gill and they have two grown-up children.
