Catriona has been elected as BMF Chair from 2010, and will take up her role from the next Baptist Assembly. She’s currently in the process of moving from the East Midlands to Scotland.
Hello Catriona,
Congratulations on accepting the pastorate of Hillhead Baptist Church. They are a delightful people. It was my honor to spend July with them. I hope it will not take you long to undo my “corruptions”! HA! Should there be anything at any time for which I could pray, please contact me. It would be a pleasure.
God bless!
Greg Burton
I don’t do this – BUT – it did seem a good idea to let you know BMF are thinking about you and hoping Hillhead is treating you well and vice-versa. We meet the SMT on Friday, so will miss you – but no doubt you’ll say a prayer for us all that we will discern what God might have to say to us as well as what might ber “Godly” to say to each other.
Anyway, Inter Faith Week approaches in England (it’s our first here – although Scotland have had one for a while!!) – and I’m up to my neck organising the Northampton events, publicity, etc., so forgive a short missive this time – although I suspect life will always be throwing up more time-consuming and very enjoyable challenges.May it be so for you too.
Warm regards and best wishes for your ministry up North….
Hi Ted, I doubly appreciate your message as you ‘don’t do this.’
I am enjoying Hillhead very much and looking forward to my first Christmas Day here tomorrow. Among other things I am ‘third potato peeler from the right’ or some such for our community Christmas lunch, to which we anticipate about 40 guests.
Greg, good to read of you. I think the good people of HBC enjoyed your time very much, and your generosity of spirit is often referred to. It is a great place to be and its strength seems to lie in its diversity.
Hope you each have a truly blessed Christmas and a peaceful 2010.
Er, um. Or maybe not! Distances may make this untenable… but she will stay as part of BMF, you can’t get rid of her that easily!!!
